Hours: 17-20 hours per week, Monday to Friday (working pattern to be agreed)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and proactive Premises Manager to take responsibility for the management, maintenance, security and presentation of our school site. This is a key role within our school, ensuring that our buildings and grounds remain safe, secure, clean and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors. The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher and Office Manager and play an important part in the daily life of the school.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
Maintaining the school buildings and grounds to a high standard.
Managing site security, including acting as a keyholder and overseeing opening and closing procedures.
Undertaking repairs, maintenance and refurbishment work.
Carrying out regular health and safety checks, inspections and record keeping, including fire safety and Legionella monitoring.
Liaising with contractors and overseeing maintenance projects.
Ensuring the school environment is safe, clean, tidy and conducive to learning.
Supporting school events, lettings and day-to-day operational needs.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Has practical maintenance, trade or premises management experience.
Has a good understanding of health and safety requirements.
Is organised, self-motivated and able to prioritise workloads effectively.
Has good IT, communication and record-keeping skills.
Can work independently and use initiative while also contributing positively as part of a team.
Takes pride in maintaining a safe, attractive and welcoming environment.
Has the physical capability to undertake the duties associated with premises management.
Will support the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
