At St Wilfrid's Catholic Primary School, Christ is at the centre of all that we do. Midday Meal Supervisors play an important role in supporting our caring, inclusive school community by ensuring that lunchtime is a safe, enjoyable and positive experience for all children. Through positive interactions and high expectations, they encourage children to demonstrate our Gospel values of kindness, respect and compassion while supporting their wellbeing, safety and social development.
Do I have to be Catholic to work in a Catholic school?
No! Our Catholic Faith is what makes St Wilfrid’s so special and it is woven into everything we do; this includes welcoming everyone that comes through our doors. Only 47.5% of teachers in Catholic schools are Catholic, so we welcome people of all faith background and none into our community.
For certain Leadership positions (eg. Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and Head of Religious Education) there is a requirement that the position be filled by a practicing Catholic in order to maintain the Catholic ethos of the school. This is in line with Equalities Act 2010.
